DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Subtropical Storm
Surigae was located near Latitude 21.8 degrees North and
Longitude 135.0 degrees East. Surigae is moving east-southeast
at 14 mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the east-northeast
with an increase in forward speed tonight or Monday.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 45 mph. Surigae is forecast to
maintain this intensity through tonight.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
280 miles north and 190 miles south.
