• Hatching a Nodelist with Mystic

From Mike Dippel@1337:3/186 to All on Sat Sep 23 21:50:57 2023
Can anyone advise how to hatch a nodelist using Mystic? I can do it for my HobbyNet because it is done using a companion program made for my Wildcat system. Not sure how to do it on Mystic.

I recently made my Mystic system the Hub for HobbyNet and would like to send the weekly infopack and nodelist from it.

Look in the mutil.ini template, you should see how to hatch from there, in essence, you create whatever textfile you want to post, text file being ansi or plain text, then you add some config in a copy of mutil.ini just for hatching files, and then you can hatch a filename(s) to a file base(s) based on the ID number of each file base you want to hatch to.

If you want my tqwNet example I'm happy to send to you direct if that helps, but the mutil.ini template should be quite explanatory anyway.

Lemme know how you get on.

I want to use it to hatch the weekly nodelist and I did notice that if I select the file to edit, there is a hatch option there. I have that file area set to connect to each of my nodes. I assume that if I opt to hatch that file it should automatically send it out once I run mutil.ini?

I will try that next Friday morning and see how it goes. I will also re-read your response to get a better picture of the procedure.

    Thanks.
