These are the people to be around if you wanted to run a board like Telegard, Renegade, VBBS, MajorBBS, etc.

Also just another cool community to meet and enjoy.

Really the only reason I run VBBS/VS is being I ran the
same board in the mid 90's found a backup and updated

I was fun, with all the bbs software I have looked at or used
it had many things that just now programmers are adding.

I keep vbbs around just knowing about 150 people (users) are old
two modem people that use to call in with a mode.

It's all about history for me and better times.

    Agreed

VBBS had many things the some of the others didn't for a while.
I just hate Rolands fido setup for that matter all FTN setups
but it was kewl at the time. Look at Wildcat WinServer one guy
modded a app to look just like VBBS.

It was good at the time and I still run it for memory sake.

I never messed around with VBBS.

In the early 90's only played around with Searchlight, Wildcat, TBBS, the demo copy of MajorBBS 6.1 or 6.2.

    None of them replaced Renegade...

Never played with Search Light, TBBS and I did World Group and MajorBBS
    and thought they sucked.

Started out with TAG, VBBS Renegade and Wildcat Winserver but always missed
Renegade. But, but back in the day Renegade had a lot more mods then today.
I'd give anything to see someone pick up retooling the mods to todays
    standard database.

I do see T.J doing some mod work and that is kewl to me, I only wish
    more would do the same.
