• stop sysop account timing out

From Michael Borthwick@21:3/179 to All on Fri Apr 7 17:12:06 2023
I generally leave my account logged in, but I've got to reset minutes left from time to time or I get booted out. Is there a way to set the sysop account to never time out?

    Cheers!

... Back up my hard drive? I can't find the reverse switch!

Yep, try raising the time per day for the security level used by your sysop account:

Editors --> Security Level Editor --> Level 255 (System Operator) --> Time Per Day: 9999

You might need to restart Mystic/MIS for this to take effect.

Note that you might still get kicked out due to inactivity, so you probably want to change Configuration --> General Settings --> Inactivity to some reasonably high value as well (e.g. 7200 for 2 hours).

    Best regards

Thanks, changed all that and see how I go :)

I wonder if the daily time remaining changes back to 1440 even if you're logged in...

I think not -- I believe it is counting strictly downwards for as long as you're logged in (except if you use the time bank to deposit or withdraw time)...

    Best regards
