I enjoyed reading your conversation about chickens in FSX_GARDENING. :)

If I recall correctly, having read it in some chicken keeping book - when introducing new chickens to a flock, one can disturb the life a bit for the old chickens by moving the water and food bowls/dispensers, and if possible moving their sitting "sticks"/area, to make them less confident, and to put the old and new chickens at a more even level of comfort.
That way, the old ones will feel less confident, and will be less likely to harass the new ones too hard.

After a few days one can put things back as they were again.

I guess this advice was a bit late, I think I read in your conversation that you already put them together and that it went ok?

I'd love to be able to have chickens, right now I live in an apartment, with the only outdoor area being a balcony.
My parents have chickens, and I grew up with them around.
Right now mom and dad have some new few weeks old newly hatched ones that they showed me a few days ago on video.
