    Hi All,

As I've been working on some projects here, as I've stated a few days ago, there have been some things happening in the outside world.

Right after the first of the year, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with lung cancer. The cancer had already spread to her brain. The doctors put her on a radiation treatment, which seemed to be working well. Her treatments ended in July, and she had been doing pretty well for 87 years old.

Well, in the last couple weeks, she has been going downhill fast. The doctors had wanted to start another round of treatments, but she is far too weak at this point.

As of this past Monday, she has been put in the hospice program, and not expected to be with us much longer.

My wife will be flying out tomorrow morning, for a long weekend, in St. Louis, to spend some time with both her mom and dad. With all of the other crap going on in the world right now, we're not sure what will/can be done as far as a funeral, so this might be her only chance.

So, while I'll be managing the bachelor pad here for a few days, I do have a lot of other things going on in my mind... I've been trying to dive into creating programs and updating CRBBS, just to kinda keep my mind off of other things. It's been working to a point. :)

With that said, I think I'll get back to trying to figure out this Runtime Error 216 I'm getting with this new MPL I'm working on...

    Sad to hear.

Cancer is a bastard like that. Treatment seems to go well, and suddenly the situation worsens into the abyss in a couple of days.

I know it does not mean much, but best wishes.

    Dear Dan,

I'm very sad to read this. As you know my wife and I have recently been
along the same path with my mother in law. It's an emotional time and despite knowing that life will soon end it's none the less a full on thing to deal
with and support your wife with.

My wife's mum died in June after a long slow decline, this coming week some furniture from her house that my wife wanted here at our place is due to arrive. It was on a backfill (lower cost to get here but longer to do so) order. We're both expecting another emotional time as objects with significant family memories arrive and she figures out where to put them.

It's good your wife can get to see her mum at this time and have time
together now. You both take care and if I can be of any help from this far
away let me know how I can assist. Even if it's just to provide a diversion for you from the ups/downs of the next month or so as you support the lady in
    your life.

    Take care.

Yeah, I've had that happen to friends and a previous partner. :(
