I've been tidying and re-arranging the cave I have here... amongst at times handy posessions is an OLD electric cooktop which has been pressed into service 4-5 times in my memory.

Anyway it was lazing about in an akward spot because its an awkward thing with hands and trays sticking out making it hard to store. Not to mention the last time it was out for a serious run someone didn't clean it very well. So it came out for an ethnic cleansing and a repack. She's still not spotless but the spots left sure as heck aren't coming off... so I'm reasonably happy its just carbon, maybe I should try brake cleaner? But I digress....

What better way to dry some hot electromajiggy off than plug her in and turn her on... so I did just that, and she started smoking a beaut burning off remnants stuck to the elements, dust, spider webs ;) All the good stuff, and then..... POOF.... power went out... bugger... does it have a fault, is something to wet... shrug, went and turned the power on, came back for a second try and poof... same... ok, turned half of it off, and the other half ran just find so let that go for a bit, before firing up half power on the tricky side... that went well too so I left it at that.

Now this whole spiel has just been to get to this portion... I didn't think about the power out, it was just an inconvenience and no biggy, doing it twice made me a little leery about turning everything else on again, and I duly forgot the BBS and house server until about 10 mins ago when I was puzzled about the home web page missing... So we're all reset and off again, and the cooktop is just awaiting repacking.
