    Avon,
    Is something amiss with the binkd server at 21:1/10? I have this system pointed there to transfer game packets. Binkd on this end is reporting
    the following:

    $ -i 21:1/10@fsxnet
    + 18:25 [14490] call to 21:1/10@fsxnet
    18:25 [14490] trying agency.bbs.nz [219.89.83.33]:24557...
    $ -i 21:1/10@fsxnet call
    $ -i 21:1/10@fsxnet call
    ? 18:28 [14490] connection to 21:1/10@fsxnet failed: Connection timed
    out ? 18:28 [14490] socket: Address family not supported by protocol
    18:28 [4338] rc(14490)=0

    If I try to telnet to agency.bbs.nz on port 24557, I don't get a
    response. I do get a response if I telnet without specifying a port
    (i.e. on default 23).

    I apologize in advance if there was a change that has already been
    covered. I may have missed it being away for a couple of weeks.

    I believe it is a bug in binkd 1.1a-99 and previous versions. There was some problem with non-standard port numbers.

    As a workaround you can try something like this first:

    node 21:1/10@fsxnet -pipe "nc *H *I"

    Just put it in binkd.cfg or binkd.inc.

    For an upgrade you can compile the debian source package or from https://github.com/pgul/binkd

    I can verify the binkd daemon is responding over here.

    The address family error message is typically seen when connecting using the wrong protocol or an address family / listener is not available.

    Check ifconfig or ip addr on Linux and see if you have an address missing or misconfigured.

    Yep there was it had locked up but have restarted. I posted the other day
    about it but it looks like my BBS also opted to have a fit and not export the messages (I think).
