Well today it got cold really cold. Like snow on the hills and people
lamenting the loss of summer cold. :) It's been a short week here with Monday
a public holiday so today was doubly hard to roll out of the sack and try and head outside this morning.

Work was quiet and punctuated by some sad news as word of the death of a
former city mayor that many of the people I know (including myself) had
worked with emerged mid morning. He had been unwell for a little while but
the suddenness of his death caught many by suprise today. Little
work requiring concentration work was for the rest of the day.

Tonight I have the fire on, a hot water bottle on my lap and a rug over me as
I type this. I think a hot cup of tea is next.

Even as our world has become smaller it still catches me off guard when someone from your side of the world posts a seasonal report and the opposite of what's happening where I live. (Sunny and 83 today as we work are way through spring) I hope to someday be able to travel to New Zealand, I have seen so many wonderful pictures from there.
Well have another cup of tea and make sure your wearing your warm fuzzy slippers and thanks for all you do for this enjoyable hobby.

HAH! As men we just slippers broken in to where we like them and the wives complain there "worn out" and want us to get new ones. ;) I think thats a universal truth. LOL

Ponder, I gave slippers away the second I had a chance. Had these knitted socks my mother would make for a while. In the last must be near 12 years now, its been thongs.. day and night, rain, hail or shine, inside or out. :)
