Seems like there has been a dip in traffic, but that there still is traffic.

It does seem to go up and down. I guess it's that thing called daily life.:)

In my case I have just started back at work. Sneaking a peak at echomail
    during my morning break.

I was thankful for it, in this case, because I mostly used my writing energy elsewhere, the last few days. But now I'm caught up and still have a bit of evening left. :)

well I hope you have a nice evening. Over here we're expecting heavy rain, winds and cooler temps and it should be summer. :( I'm glad I'm inside today. But if I am good I'll likely get out for a walk soon else risk sitting in
front of a screen all day.

I'm certainly at an unhealthy level of screen time, at this point.

But on the weather bit, I think it got to 8 C today, which seems oddly warm.

But it snowed a couple days ago, which was the first snow fall that stuck at all, despite it being the middle of January. I guess this sort of winter is pretty normal for here, but it's still not quite what I think of as "winter". Even if it's only slightly less snowy than the last winter I spent in Germany.

You and I both... the problem for me is all day in the office in front of a screen and then trying to get enthused to do more at night at home in a personal capacity seems much harder... last night I was going to do some BBS stuff but ended up sucked into a Netflix movie instead. Probably not a bad thing, although it was really swapping out one screen for another. :)

That's close to the cooler side of our winters... so (thankfully) about 6-7 months away for me. Phew.

Yep, I've entered my peak busy season, so only reading mail a few times per week. I'm away this weekend, but likely to get some downtime to catch up on mail. :)

Huh. New Zealand keeps seeming more appealing. I thought for sure it was
going to be -20 or something.

Which, mind you, I've experienced many winters where that was basically the expected lows at _some_ point in the winter.

Yeah, pretty similar story for me. At this point I move my work computer
aside, move my personal computer closer, and change which laptop my monitor
    is plugged into.

But, hey, at least today I took a walk to the newsstand and grocery store. (I still feel _somewhat_ guilty about the newsstand trip, but I'm at least
wearing a very good mask when I go).

I have not played Final Fantasy 14 as religiously recently. Only been having time to play Animal Crossing.
My time right now will be is to figure out if I need to start a certificate program so I can earn 3-5 bucks
    more than minimum wage.

    Indeed. :)

There's a balcony outside my 2nd/3rd story window, and there's a meter-high snow drift there.

Definitely more snow than I've previously experienced in Germany.

And now I'm tempted to go for a walk, even if it's a terrible, pointless
idea. And my knee-high boots are probably not waterproof enough.

But there's actual snow! I still have no idea how Germans deal with this much snow.

Kids get their sleds, adults complain (and would prefer the spring-like weather we had before).

We even had snow in the attic, which doesn't get wet when it rains, but the heavy winds blew the fine snow through every little gap.

Fun fact: it's caused by global warming. Maybe we are getting our cold and snowy winters back.

I did find it interesting seeing a guide on the amount of white Christmases
in Muenster over the previous 30 years or so. It's certainly a rarity, these days.

But, yeah, I imagine there's a reason why it's called "climate change", even
if it's caused by global warming.
