    Does anyone know if there is an archive of Dovenet messages anywhere?

    I'm just curious to see what people were talking about back in the day!

    Don't think so... you might be able to see older posts from the Synchronet specific board on some Usenet archives, but I believe VERT and many others have limits on retention and older messages lost to the eather.

    this, put up their old message bases
    from the 90s in read-only mode or
    something. Always wondered if people go
    through and read those still :)

    If they were indexed/searchable might be fun. There's been a couple times I've wanted to find an old post, but couldn't. Part of why I'm really wanting to create a read mirror of message boards for indexed search. Not necessarily public (for google) but internal for users.
